ORECA Group to be Official Safety Gear Partner for 2018 ARA Junior Championship

ORECA Group has been named Official Safety Gear Partner of the 2018 American Rally Association Junior Championship for the DMACK Trophy. The company will provide racing suits to Junior Championship competitors along with special discounts on their protective products to all ARA members.

ORECA Group is known around the world for their involvement in a variety of motorsport disciplines. Founded over 40 years ago as a racing team, ORECA Group has claimed a high level of success on the international stage and in the North America. The company is well known in US for its Dodge Viper program that earned three consecutive class wins at Le Mans and two successive championship titles in the American Le Mans Series.

ORECA Gear, a division of ORECA Group also known as Turn One in France, provides motorsports competition equipment to racing teams around the world. Their safety gear can be found in the cockpits of racing cars the world over, including many race-winning rally and rallycross vehicles.

As Official Safety Gear Partner, ORECA Gear will supply protective equipment to all Junior Championship Competitors in 2018. The company will provide the racing suits worn by all drivers in the championship and give discounts on other equipment such as seats, harnesses, and steering wheels.

ORECA Gear will also provide special discounts on their safety equipment line to all ARA members in 2018.

The ARA Junior Championship for the DMACK Trophy is a new for 2018 championship series aimed at developing young rally talent in North America. The series aims to educate drivers in all areas needed to succeed at the professional level. More information can be found on the ARA Website.

No stranger to dirt, ORECA Racing has garnered success in rally and rallycross for nearly three decades. The team won their first championship in an off-road discipline in 1988, winning the French Rallycross Championship that year and the following. In 1991, ORECA Racing earned a top-5 finish at the Paris-Dakar Rallye. In 2003, ORECA Racing earned driver’s titles in the French Championship and World Junior Rally Championship. The following year, they followed it up with an European Rally Championship drivers win.

ORECA Racing team expanded their efforts and became a constructor in 2007. Based at the Magny Cours Formula 1 circuit, ORECA Racing provides first party engine and chassis design work for manufacturers such as Skoda and their World Rally Championship R5 program. ORECA Racing also manufactures FIA R4 Class vehicles for use in national rallies around the world.
