McKenna Motorsport announced yesterday an arrive-and-drive program at any American Rally Association (ARA) or Canadian Rally Championship event. The team will offer rentals packages for their new M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5 at each of the remaining eight events on the ARA National Rally Championship Presented by AMSOIL calendar.

The program announcement comes on the heels of ARA allowing eligibility for WRC 2 specification vehicles in competition at its events – under the 2019 ARA rules, R5-spec vehicles compete in the Open4WD class. The Fiesta R5 is a turn-key race car with the speed to achieve ARA overall podiums. Barry McKenna and Leon Jordan competed with the rental M-Sport Ford Fiesta R5 at Sno*Drift Rally this past weekend where its pace was immediately apparent.

This particular Fiesta R5 is a virtually brand new build, having only been campaigned at 3 events in its life so far. Before being imported to the United States by the McKenna Motorsport team, the car also underwent a complete rebuild and and overhaul at M-Sport’s headquarters in England.

Barry McKenna and Leon Jordan will continue the ARA championship fight in the venerable Fiesta S2000 Turbo they introduced at the Oregon Trail Rally in 2017.
