The Season 2 premier of Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman is all about rally. Starting tonight at 9 on Discovery, Kaufman will kick off a three episode challenge to build a rally car, learn to drive on dirt, and finally compete at this year’s Olympus Rally.

The first three episodes of season are dedicated to Kaufman’s pursuit of ARA competition. Tonight’s episode is all about learning how to drive a rally car at the Rally Ready Driving School near Kaufman’s shop in Texas, Arclight Fabrication. Next week’s episode, airing on October 1, will see Kaufman experience being a spectator at the Oregon Trail Rally. On October 8, Kaufman will team up with veteran co-driver Krista Skucas to take on Olympus Rally.

After departing Gas Monkey Garage in 2016, former `Fast N’ Loud’ star Aaron Kaufman opened his own auto shop, Arclight Fabrication, in Dallas, to focus on his personal car-design passions. Along with a crew of hand-picked builders from around the country, Kaufman pushes his design abilities by working on different types of vehicles. His goal for every build: maximize performance, then test each car in some of the harshest conditions known to the auto world.
