About This Project

Informational event date tiles developed for the American Rally Association website and the announcement of the series 2019 season schedule. These tiles were the main informational components of a live linear calendar that would cycle the current event to the front position, where it was most noticeable.

These tiles were designed to be clean and easily readable at a glance as site visitors would be expected to notice them while scrolling for other pertinent information. I also wanted them to properly represent each event through the use of scenery and in car choice. As examples, Sno*Drift shows snow, Oregon Trail Rally shows wide open fields, Ojibwe Forests Rally shows lakes, each is representative of major topographic features the respective events are known for. Finally, each tile shows a different car to give representation to several teams, manufacturers, and series sponsors. I felt it was important to show the diversity of competitors in ARA while evenly representing series sponsors such as Subaru, Ford, and AMSOIL, while also giving thought to event sponsors by showing a DirtFish sponsored car for Olympus Rally, an event that they title sponsor.
