27 Aug American Rally Association Announces 2018 Event Schedule

American Rally Association Competition Director, Erick Nelson, announced during his speech at the National Awards Banquet details on the 2018 ARA Championship Series. All five US-based events run in 2017 will be returning to the calendar for the 2018 season. In addition, ARA is happy to announce that Idaho Rally will become a national event next year. A seventh event will be announced in the coming months.

ARA 2018 Championship Series Events:

Oregon Trail Rally ----- April 20-22, 2018 
Olympus Rally ----- May 19-20, 2018 
Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally ----- June 1-2, 2018 
New England Forest Rally ----- July 20-21, 2018 
Ojibwe Forests Rally ----- August 24-25, 2018 
Idaho Rally ----- September 15-16, 2018 

“We’re really excited to be bringing back all of our US-based events and then to add to an already fantastic schedule,” said Erick Nelson, “this is something that we’ve been working on for a long time.”

In addition, Nelson announced a new regional event for 2017. ARA will sanction Tri-State Rally, November 3-4, 2017 in Mesquite, Nevada.

During his speech, Nelson also shared the event dates of the 2018 Junior Championship for the DMACK Trophy. The championship will run two west coast events, followed by two east coast weekends, with a final round in the midwest.

2018 Junior Championship Events:

Oregon Trail Rally ----- April 20-22, 2018 
Olympus Rally ----- May 19-20, 2018 
Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally ----- June 1-2, 2018 
New England Forest Rally ----- July 20-21, 2018 
Ojibwe Forests Rally ----- August 24-25, 2018 

New details on regional championships were also unveiled this morning. The 2018 ARA East Regional Championship will run 4 events, two at STPR and two at New England. The ARA West Regional Championship will be made up of 7 events, three at Oregon, two at Olympus, and two yet unnamed events at Idaho. For the Central Region, the championship will be scored based on Headwaters and two events at Ojibwe.
